It had been very long time I did not write on this blog (gaunku.wordpress.com is dedicated to Puteri Indonesia who compete in Miss Universe Pageant). Oh well, it does not mean that I do not care about Puteri Indonesia, I am deathly waiting for the next Miss Universe indeed. I hope Qory (Puteri Indonesia 2009) can place herself on this gold opportunity.

I do not exatly know why our contestants cannot make it on the Top 15/20 since Artika (Puteri Indonesia 2004). The one reason that I believe is Miss Universe organization is looking for the only commercial stunning beautiful woman. However, I respect to the judges and do not blame this situation at all. Miss Universe chosen is the best of the best. Puteri Indonesia must learn all lessons hardly.

Indonesia has lots of beautiful women with various backgrounds and should the judges of Puteri Indonesia choose the one who can be on the air commercially (of course with the positive thinking after all).
This beauty pageant is talking not only the beauty, the brain and the behaviour but also the business.

Well it is hard for me to look for the one but after searching, I think that Indonesia has the one who may make the place on the Miss Universe competition. She is Farah Quinn (so far). I am not the fan of her. I do not know her. I am just watching her on TV and I am comparing her with other contestants.

She is known as the chef who teach us how to make the restaurant foods practically for the beginners. She is good looking and smart at the first sight. She has unique face and for that, she may be look like Zulaeka Rivera (Miss Universe 2006). She has very Indonesian face thou. The agent should want to get her because of her commercial face. She has fit body and I bet she does the exercises regularly. She is photogenic. She know what she want to be and she tries to get hers. She can speak the languages and can communicate them well. I think she is so perfect to represent Indonesia in this contest. The problem is I do not know how old she is…

38 official representatives competed in Puteri Indonesia 2009. The telecast judges picked the Top Ten and then the Top Five. Finally, they chose the right woman from the Top Three. All sessions were the Interview assessment. Here we go with the official result:

Aceh (Aceh), Sumatera Barat (West Sumatera), Sumatera Selatan (South Sumatera), Jakarta 4 (Jakarta), Jakarta 6 (Jakarta), Banten (Banten province), Jawa Barat (West Java), Jawa Timur (East Java), Maluku Utara (North Maluku, East Indonesia), Papua Barat (West Papua, East Indonesia).

Top Five:

I do not believe what is on TV this time I am writing now. Stefania, Miss Universe 2009 is so so so beautiful here on the Puteri Indonesia 2009 (2009 Miss Universe Indonesia pageant). Not because her crown, hair style or gown, Stefania has classically perfect beautiful face (and the beauty from outside)

Ok, I was not agree that Miss Universe 2009 was Stefania at the time she won. I change my mind now. Stefania Fernandez is a great choice although she may not be a great Miss Universe yet. Hopefully, she has great brain and behaviour as well.

Gosh, can I have a dream to have a picture with her?

I knew it is bit late to greet Stefania but hopefully, it would be a great time of her lifetime experiences here in Indonesia. I am so grateful because Stefania thought that Indonesia was not horrible as she watched it on TV. She feel like at home, indeed. (Well, it was just like Dayana’s feeling about Indonesia when she was here last year) Yes, it’s true that Indonesia has admirable hospitality as Venezuela has.

Stefania has about 10 days work in Indonesia. She may visit particular places, including the recently earthquake points. Tonight, Stefania, MU09 and Zizi, PI08 are crowning new Puteri Indonesia 2009.

Marielisa Gibson, 20, memegang beban yang tidak ringan sebagai Miss Venezuela Universe 2009. Seluruh mata akan tertuju pada Marielisa saat pertarungan Miss Universe 2010 dimulai, harap -harap mendebarkan mampukah Venezuela menyimpan mahkota MU untuk yang ketiga kalinya berturut-turut?

Osmel Sousa udah pasti akan merombak Marielisa habis-habisan….totally re-prepared more than before. Is she the right girl for Osmel? Only Osmel knows….

Bagaimana dengan penerus Zizi? Akankah Puteri Indonesia 2009 mampu bersaing dengan Marielisa dan wanita2 tercantik dari dunia? Mampukah Yayasan Puteri Indonesia menemukan wanita yang mampu merepresentasikan yayasan dan Indonesia? Only God know….

II: Bikini di Puteri Indonesia 09?

(abis minum obat TA flu, tidur semalam, kayaknya gue mendingan)

Sebenarnya gue memimpikan format acara pemilihan Puteri Indonesia meniru format acara yang digunakan di ajang Miss Universe di TV. Acara berlangsung singkat, cepat namun menarik, cukup menegangkan dan gak membosankan.

Berlangsung cepat, singkat, karena langsung ke sasaran. Pembacaan finalis, langsung ke babak penilaian kebugaran dan catwalk, dengan penggunaan pakaian renang. Pembacaan finalis 10 besar, langsung ke babak penilaian keanggunan dan kepribadian, dengan penggunaan gaun malam (yang dipilih sendiri oleh peserta, meski ada sponsor). Pembacaan finalis akhir, langsung ke babak penilaian kemampuan berpikir cepat, dengan pertanyaan akhir juri.

(Sebagai pembanding, acara pemilihan PI, untuk menentukan finalis, semua babak yang dilalui adalah babak tanya dan jawab, yang beberapa pertanyaan terlalu teoritis/hafalan)

About the bikini/swimsuit? O nooo. Yup, I absolutely agree. Di Indonesia, pertunjukan demikian sangat tabu, apalagi di depan publik. Dan, gue yakin sampai gue udah gak berumur-pun, peristiwa ini gak akan terjadi di Indonesia. Gue 100% maklum dan juga tidak membenarkan pemakaian bikini di TV.

Tapi, gue ada ide (ingat cuma ide lo), karena menurut gue, kebugaran fisik sekaligus catwalk calon PI harus dinilai, paling tidak disetujui oleh seluruh penonton bahwa PI mereka adalah yang terbugar. Ide itu adalah (mungkin) dengan penggunaan pakaian senam sebagai pengganti pakaian renang. Pakaian senam yang menutupi seluruh tubuh, mulai dari leher hingga tumit, dengan tetap pakai high heel dong wkwkwkw…. Bisa dibayangkan maksimum seperti pakaian catwoman-nya Michelle Pfeiffer kalee ya…bukan catwoman-nya Halle Berry.

Apa idenya diterima?

Bikini di Puteri Indonesia 2009?

Puteri Indonesia terpilih secara fisik dan mental memang dipersiapkan untuk berlomba di ajang Miss Universe. Entah sampai kapan lisensi Miss Universe untuk Indonesia dipegang oleh Yayasan Puteri Indonesia (YPI), tapi satu hal yang pasti, secara pribadi gue pengen Indonesia tetep mengirim wakilnya layaknya wakil (baca:atlet) di ajang Olimpiade.

Indonesia saat ini sedang mempersiapkan acara pemilihan Puteri Indonesia 2009. Seluruh propinsi sedang atau telah menunjuk wakilnya. Dan tentu, YPI yang sedang paling sibuk saat ini, mulai dari perencanaan program hingga persiapan kedatangan MU09, Stefania Fernandez.

Berbicara soal format acara, gue ada ide untuk meniru format acara siaran Miss Universe. Emang sih, rada2 plagiat…tapi gue rasa ini adalah langkah awal persiapan calon Puteri Indonesia 2009 untuk mengikuti acara sebenarnya, Miss Universe 2010. Dengan kata laen, supaya PI09 gak kaget gitooo….(kalo boleh niru sih). Gue yakin rating acara pemilihan PI09 di TV ini pasti melonjak drastis karena ada “adegan” bikini-nya.

Bikini? di TV? di depan seluruh rakyat Indonesia??? Gosh, r u kidding me?

Puteri Indonesia 2009

Seperti yang diumgkapkan oleh representatif Yayasan Puteri Indonesia, Puteri Indonesia mendatang (2009) akan terus berjuang di ajang kecantikan Miss Universe 2010. Meskipun para puteri belum berhasil meneruskan prestasi Artika, PI04, gue pribadi sangat berharap PI melanjutkan perjuangannya meraih mahkota MU di tahun2 mendatang. Emang sulit sih…

Gak ada yang harus gue review atau catat mengenai pribadi Zizi. Kegagalan menembus 15 besar sebenarnya bukan hal yang sangat mengejutkan. Terlalu banyak peserta, terutama dari negara2 unggulan, yang memang dilatih keras (baca: di-ospek) untuk mahkota ini. Mulai dari olahraga rutin, pelatihan make-up, cara berjalan hingga operasi plastik. Tanpa panjang lebar, Zizi tetap menjadi Puteri Indonesia kita.

Bagaimana Puteri Indonesia selanjutnya? Hmm, bentar, gue masih mo mikir bagaimana ya…. Dalam benak gue, udah ada sih seperti apa dan bagaimana dia harus belajar dari pengalaman para puteri dan berlatih keras (sekeras-kerasnya. Ntar aja deh, lagi gak mood2 amat gue nulisnya wkwkwkw….

Menurut kabar burung, PI 2009 akan dipilih tanggal 9 Oktober 2009. Stay tuned!

Early fight: Osmel Sousa

I have no words to describe him. He is so incredible. I wish I could be him. He is working for Miss Venezuela Organization for years and able to make an unforgetable history for Venezuela. Dayana and Stefania are his “children” and both are the Miss Universe in two consecutive years, 2008 and 2009. He is a successful national beauty director in the universe!

While the pageant fans in the world are still chatting about the winning of Venezuelan two years in a row, Osmel Sousa, the Miss Venezuela President, is interested in finding the right girl to bring Venezuela a triplet Miss Universe crown. He refuse to retire after all, indeed he said that there were crowns to win. Oh gosh!

So, Indonesian, next Puteri Indonesia, prepare yourself hardly immediately. Forget the disappointments as the fight is just to begin.

Early fight: Dayana vs Stefania

1. In term of beauty (i.e. face beauty, as their body is physicaly more or less perfect), Dayana is uniquely beautiful. What I mean an unique face is that Dayana’s face is the only one that you can find hardly. No similarities in the world. The negative thing is some people may not agree that Dayana is beautiful. Stefania, on the other hand, is clasically beautiful. Her beauty is never endless. We can find easily the beautiful faces, just like Stefania, from the beginning of the world to present world.

2. The background of Dayana is a professional model/catwalker, so I was not affraid that Dayana could not fulfill her tight duties, as MU. I believe that Dayana also learned how to think, have words and work with various peoples from her previous jobs, so she has professional experiences. I can seet from all of her answers to the interview/questions.

Meanwhile, Stefania (from my eyes) is still green. She may learn how to be style, how to walk, how to speak, how to bla bla bla…..but it needs time and a year is never enough. I can see it from her performance and answer during the race. She is so “textbook”. Hopefully, I am wrong. If she is well polished and easy-to-learn person, she will be a great model/public figure.

3. In term of personality, I have no notes. I think a Miss Universe should have personality as Miss Universe.
